Clive’s Biography

clive_thumbClive Thomson (aka Ka-pow) started to play classical guitar in 1999. In 2001 Clive achieved a distinction for his Royal Schools exam under the tuition of Nick Carter.

Between 2002 and 2005 Clive studied music at Tshwane University of Technology under the tuition
of the great Johnny Fourie. Afterwards he received his national diploma in music.
Clive has been teaching guitar since 2006.

Currently he is a teacher at both the St Johnʼs College and National School of the
Arts.

He began playing bass guitar in April 2010. Some say that guitar is his first instrument but bass is his first love.

Musical interests include: Muse, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, U2, Linkin Park, Pat Metheny, Latin and Jazz just to name a few.
